Sewage Discharge in the Gulf at Access Point #85

A broken sewer line has caused a flow of untreated sewage into a storm drain that empties into the Gulf of Mexico across from beach access point #85.

Sewage contamination of water can expose bathers to intestinal viruses, bacteria, and parasites.

The Bay County Health Department advises against swimming in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico 100 feet east and 100 feet west of beach access point #85 until further notice

For more information, you may contact the bay county health department at (850) 872-4660 ext. 1369.
