BAY COUNTY, FL - A power outage at Lift Station BC-2 located at Veterans Park on Cherry Street in Callaway caused a wastewater discharge. The untreated sewage entered a stream adjacent to Veterans Park.
Sewage contamination of water can expose bathers to intestinal viruses, bacteria, and parasites.
The Bay County Health Department advises against swimming in this stream between Cherry Street and Minneola Street until further notice.
