Sewage Overflow in Panama City

PANAMA CITY, FL - Due to a power outage, a manhole overflowed on the 300 block of Massalina Drive in Panama City causing a discharge of untreated sewage into Massalina Bayou.

Sewage contamination of water can expose bathers to intestinal viruses, bacteria, and parasites.

The Bay County Health Department advises against swimming in these waters between Hamilton Avenue and Beach Drive until further notice.

For more information, you may contact the Bay County Health Department at (850) 872-4660 ext. 1268.
