Serious Wreck in Lexington Leaves Two Fighting For Their Lives

A man and a woman are fighting for their lives this morning after a violent crash in Lexington.

The crash happened just before 10:30 last night on Delong road near Tates Creek.

Police say the victims, believed to be in their 20's, were in a sports car that hit a tree.

Both the driver and the passenger had to be cut out of the car.

They were both taken to UK hospital.

The driver is in critical condition and the passenger suffered life-threatening injuries.

Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

Both victims were wearing seatbelts.
