Alabama State Senator Jimmy Holley offered his condolences to the family of the little boy.
During a town hall meeting in Florala, Senator Holley and State Representative Mike Jones took questions from residents about the upcoming legislative session.
Most of those questions concerned school safety and the hostage situation in Midland City. He will look at any legislative initiatives to help prevent a similar incident in the future.
