Seminole County Public Schools Host Parent University

Seminole County is getting ready for the new year, by educating parents.

Parent University is tomorrow.

It features classes about attendance, homework help, common core and college readiness.

Each session is 30 minutes and parents with perfect attendance get a prize, a backpack full of school supplies.

Parents of students kindergarten through 12th grade are invited.
"So we thought this was a great collaberation and in school we always talk about parent involventment, collaberating with eachother so it just made sense. It just made sense," Mentor for Special Services, Tracy Barber said.

Parent University starts at 8:30 tomorrow morning.

It will be in the Pre-K building's Reading Lab at North Campus Annex.
