The state is adding a new dog to sniff out an arson case.
Alabama Forestry Commission bought a second bloodhound to help investigate cases of Woodland’s arson.
The agency’s head law enforcement officer, Craig Hill, says the hound will be based in North Alabama. Her name is Ember. The first bloodhound, named Blaze, works in South Alabama.
A nationally certified institute will license Ember and her handler after training.
