School Bus Altercation Ends in Stabbing

VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say a 15-year-old was stabbed five times after an argument with a younger boy began on a school bus and ended in a fight in their Valdosta neighborhood.

Police said the 15-year-old was taken to South Georgia Medical Center after the fight Wednesday afternoon. Valdosta police Cmdr. Brian Childress said his wounds were not considered to be life-threatening.

Childress said the 14-year-old was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

Childress told the Valdosta Daily Times (http://bit.ly/WC4NX3) that the two boys began arguing on their Valdosta City Schools bus. He said both left the bus and went to their homes, and the older boy then went to the younger boy's house and a fight ensued. Police say the 14-year-old pulled out a knife during the fight.
