With summer coming to an end, some in the Wiregrass are gearing up to celebrate the annual "Scarecrows in the Gardens" at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens.

The event is a scarecrow-building competition open to everyone, including families.
There is a $20 entry fee but $100 in cash prizes are given to the winners.
If you'd like to enter the contest, you must register and have your scarecrow set up by September 30th.
The scarecrows will be on display through the entire month of October.
