Remains of Marianna WWII Soldier Identified

MARIANNA, FL - The remains of a Florida man declared missing in action during World War II have been identified.

Army Air Force Second Lieutenant Samuel Lunday of Marianna was buried Friday at Arlington National Cemetery.

Officials say Lunday and four other servicemen lost radio contact in 1943. The wreckage of their plane was discovered in India in 2003.

Lunday's remains were identified when DNA evidence matched samples from his nephews.
