Red Flag Advisories for Parts of AL Wiregrass, Florida Panhandle

Two National Weather Service offices that cover parts of the WTVY viewing area have issued Red Flag Advisories for several area counties Friday.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the following counties in our area: Holmes, Walton, Washington, Calhoun in Florida and Pike and Barbour in Alabama.

Humidity as low as 20 percent along with gusty winds that could reach 25 miles per hour mean that fire potential is high in the indicated areas.

After yesterday’s rains, a dry air mass has pushed into the area.

For the Florida counties, the Warning lasts from 10am until 8pm Central Time. For the Alabama counties, the Warning runs from Noon until 7pm Central Time.
