Reach Out and Read Program Available in the Wiregrass

Reading is a vital part of any child's early development.
Reach Out and Read is a program that encourages early literacy and school readiness.
From sixth months to five years of age, participating hospitals, health centers, and pediatric facilities give out thousands of books.
Nationwide, the program is at 5-thousand locations, serving four-million children.
Southeastern Pediatrics is one clinic in Dothan that participates in the program.
The program is a national non-profit but relies on both state and local funding....like the Wiregrass Foundation.

Individual donations help too, so if you'd like to donate, call Southeastern Pediatrics at (334) 794-8656 or Dothan Pediatrics at (334) 793-1881.
