Rare Liberty-Head Nickel Found By Webb Resident

By  |

A rare find in the wiregrass was not just any ordinary five cent piece.

Pearly Clark of web found a liberty-head nickel from 1910 in a box in her home.

The coin is often referred to as the "v" nickel.

That's because it has a roman numeral 5 on the back.

On the heads' side is lady liberty wearing a coronet and wreath.

By the way, a liberty nickel in mint condition is worth about 200-dollars on eBay.
