Last week's constant rain caused a few issues around Dothan.

Tuesday city commissioners agreed to earmark emergency money to repair a storm water line on Horace Shepard Road.

The city will enter into a contract with Klapal Contracting.

The repair will cost a little more than $45,000.

"This road had a wash out, it's got an 8 foot storm water line about 25 feet deep and there fore the road was deemed unsafe so we had to do an emergency purchase," said City manager Mike West.

The work is expected to be done within a week or two.
