Race for the Cure

Thousands are expected to participate in the Susan G. Komen `Race For The Cure' event in Miami.

The race is being held Saturday at Bayfront Park.

Miami-Dade Transit will provide additional Metromover service that morning.

An event press release says 1,500 breast cancer survivors and more than 20,000 participants will take part in the race to fight breast cancer.

There will also be an art piece created during the race by race participants.

Each participant will leave their painted handprint on the canvas that will be shown on stage.
