A road that’s taken a beating from constant car use will be getting resurfaced.
Prevatt road has been targeted by Houston County commissioners to fix the wear and tear, by any means possible.
There will be some traffic diversions when the construction starts, being decreased to one lane.
Commissioners say they will be sure to give a warning before it starts so that people driving their children to school can be prepared.

"We decided to use our regular federal money and we'll be moving forward with that resurfacing all the way from the circle out and there will also be some intersection improvements there at the circle to better handle that school traffic that comes there." Houston County Chairman Mark Culver said.

Work on the road will start in the winter, sometime in December.
