Preps Underway for Houston County Gives Day

Preparations are underway for Houston County's Gives Day.

Tuesday, 18 area non-profits gathered to discuss this years plan.
The annual event reaches out to the public and promotes a day of giving to local organizations.
The goal is for each group to get $1000.

"We would like for each organization to receive donations this year, unfortunately last year when this started not every organization that signed up got donations from the public, so we're hoping that each organization receives profits this year," said The Prevention Project Program Manager Beth Ford.

The 24-hour event starts at midnight on February 5th and ends at midnight on February 6th.

Booths will be set up at Eagle Eye Outfitters but you can also donate online at Houstoncountygives.com.
