Potent storms moved through much of Alabama on Monday, including Pike County.

Pike County was placed under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for a time as a large line of storms moved across the state of Alabama. The storm, at times, produced hail and damaging straight-line winds.

The storm produced frequent lightning and very heavy rain in communities such as Goshen in southwestern Pike County.

Although the Storm Prediction Center has yet to indicate any damage from the storm that moved through the county, a witness said they saw hail at Forest Acres in Troy.
