Dothan will be closing it's landfill in the beginning of June, leaving the county without a place to dispose their solid waste.
If approved, county commissioners will get into a temporary contract with Waste Away Group, which is the same company the city is using.
"Our partnership with the city of Dothan as it is with other things we're partnering with the city of Dothan on, such as purchase of fuel, we as a team are much better than trying to separate out on our own, " says Houston County Administrator Bill Dempsey.
The contract will be for 2 years, or until the new city landfill is ready.
