Plane Crash Kills Five People

Five people were killed Wednesday when a small plane crashed at Thomson-McDuffie Regional Airport, near Augusta, Georgia.

The pilot and one passenger survived.

A local lawenforcement officer says it looks like the aircraft "overshot the runway."

The plane came to rest in a field behind a factory about a mile east of the airport.

Federal investigators are investigating.
