Pike County Authorities Find 3 Dogs with Mouths, Paws Bound in Abandoned Building

TROY, Alabama -- The Pike County Sheriff's Office rescued three dogs found with duct tape on their mouths and paws Thursday evening at the abandoned Ebenezer schoolhouse.

The Troy Messenger is reporting police found three dogs with duct tape over their mouths and paws. Two of the dogs were tied to pipes under a kitchen sink with an electrical cord. The third dog was found tied to a fixture with an electrical cord in another room of the schoolhouse.

A suspect has been identified. -- mental state

The dogs, which weren't hurt or dehydrated, are believed to be a lab mix, another looks similar to a Chihuahua and the last looks like a dachshund. Two of the dogs' owners were identified by Friday afternoon.
