Pentagon Advices it Won't Issue Any Performance Bonuses Until After Sequestration Ends

By  |

Civilian workers with the Department of Defense will not be receiving incentive pay until after sequestration ends.

Instead, the Pentagon is encouraging managers to publicly recognize outstanding workers through non-monetary means, including extra days off.

Unless the Pentagon reverses its decision, workers could see no extra performance pay until 2023.

Some bonuses including travel savings, relocation and retention services and student loan repayments are still allowed.

However, they will only be awarded on a limited basis and cannot exceed 2010 levels.
