Pensacola Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL - A Pensacola man was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Highway 90 at the Wabash Avenue intersection.

Investigators say 27-year-old Matthew Vaughn was trying to turn onto Wabash Avenue when a woman in a pick-up truck hit him.

Vaughn was thrown from his motorcycle in the collision.

Florida Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Mary Smith failed to yield the right of way to Vaughn.

Charges are pending a traffic homicide investigation.
