Dothan Police say the man was wearing dark colored clothing when he crossed Ross Clark Circle near the Outback Steakhouse.

The driver and two passengers were not injured in the accident. Police say that driver was not impaired and speed was not a factor in the accident.

Another pedestrian was injured on Thursday night on Denton Road.

"Advice for pedestrians be it on the roadway or in shopping centers or whatever, is obviously wear contrasting clothing. if you are out walking for exercise and it is dark, carry a flashlight or something that is illuminated so that drivers can see you," said Dothan Police Lt. Todd David.

Police also remind drivers to be cautious on roads like Ross Clark Circle. They say the ambient lighting at night tends to make pedestrians blend in.
