Pea River Update

Flooding in Pigeon Forge at Waldens Creek Road and Old Valley Road. (Source: Kyle Grainger, WVLT)

In Coffee County, emergency management workers are paying extra attention to the Pea River's water levels.
30-feet is the flood stage at the Pea River Bridge in Elba.
Officials believe it will crest tomorrow night about a foot above that mark.
However they don't believe it will cause widespread damage.
Officials want people living in traditional flood prone areas to be prepared to move to higher ground.
