The public now has a chance to see an aircraft collection that is described as one of the best in the world.
The Army Aviation Museum at Ft. Rucker has completed the first step in expanding its operation. In addition to a model of the second building, the museum has 50 aircrafts on display and a total of 160 in its collection.
The aircrafts on display all had a job in the army. The others in storage represent the evolution of the helicopter; but they never saw action. Some of the aircrafts waiting for display are the only models of their kind in the world.
