INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The father of a northeastern Indiana teenager hurt in a Florida parasailing crash has had new surgery and could be released for rehabilitation soon.
Eric Good, the father of 17-year-old Sidney Good of Roanoke, issued a statement saying she had surgery Wednesday to repair several facial fractures. He says doctors report surgery went well and that she could be could be released to a rehabilitation hospital in Indianapolis in three to four days.
Sidney Good and 17-year-old Alexis Fairchild of Huntington were injured after a rope tethering them to a boat snapped and strong winds slammed them into a building, a power line and a parked car at Panama City Beach.
Fairchild is at an Indianapolis rehabilitation hospital recovering from broken bones and a brain injury.
