Panama City Police Investigate Fatal Accident on Hathaway Bridge

The Panama City Police Department continues to investigate the early morning traffic crash that occurred along West Highway 98 on the Hathaway Bridge. The crash occurred at approximately 12:38 A.M. on 02/13/2012, when a white, GMC van traveling eastbound collided with a black Mitsubishi Eclipse. The driver of the Mitsubishi Eclipse was fatally injured and has died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the GMC van was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. It is suspected that alcohol played a role in the traffic crash, however the investigation continues. The driver of the GMC van is identified as Margarito Aguirre Curiel of Panama City.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Eclipse is identified as Ryan J. Ramsey of Panama City Beach. At this point in the investigation no charges have been filed. We will continue to update information as soon as possible.

The Panama City Police Department also continues to investigate a second crash that occurred on February 11, 2012 at approximately 6:10 P.M. when a bicyclist, identified as William Kitchens Feeny, was traveling northbound on College Avenue and was struck by a white, 1991, GMC, pickup truck being driven by Anthony James Woodard. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital where he continues to be treated for his injuries. At this point in that investigation no charges have been filed. We will continue to update information as soon as possible.
