Panama City Shoplifting Ring Busted

PANAMA CITY, FL - The Panama City Police Department and the Panama City Beach Police Department are investigating a shoplifting ring that has been targeting various retail stores both at the Panama City Mall and Pier Park. On February 5, 2013. Panama City Police Department was contacted after officers with Panama City Beach Police Department arrested the female suspects. In reference to some of the property located during the arrest of the females, Panama City Police detectives were able to identify that property had been stolen from at least six stores in the Panama City Mall. Employees of the stores identified the suspects that were in custody and the property as being theirs. The thefts in Panama City identified so far occurred on February 5, 2013, and January 15, 2013. The stores targeted by the females in Panama City were Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, American Eagle, Justice, Carters, Claire’s, and Charlotte Russe. The estimated amount of the property stolen from the Panama City Mall stores is in excess of $4,000.00. Officers were able to recover most of the property stolen on February 5, 2013. The females are all from Albany, Georgia, and it is believed they planned to return to Georgia to sell the stolen merchandise. Each was charged with four counts of Grand Theft-Retail, for the thefts at the mall. All four subjects were booked into the Bay County Jail.

The investigation by both agencies continues and more arrests or criminal charges are pending.

The females that were charged for the thefts at the Panama City Mall are identified as Eurika S. Green, 29 years of age, Tchequera D. Brown, 24 years of age, Jamie N. Anderson, 23 years of age, and Ashley L. Anderson, 25 years of age.

Police agencies in surrounding counties have also been contacted and have similar reports of large retail thefts that match the suspects arrested.
