Palin Endorses Adams in GOP Primary for Congress

Sarah Palin is picking sides in a spirited GOP primary featuring two members of Congress.

Palin announced on Thursday that she is endorsing U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams over U.S. Rep. John Mica in the race for a U.S. House district in central Florida.

The contest between Adams and Mica is a rarity in Florida since it pits two sitting members of Congress against each other. They both decided to seek the U.S. House District 7 seat after the Florida Legislature redrew the boundaries to their existing congressional seats.

Palin took a shot at Mica in her endorsement, saying she choose Adams because she isn't involved in back-room dealings in Washington D.C.

A Mica campaign spokesman dismissed the importance of the endorsement in a statement to The Orlando Sentinel.
