Ozarks Latter Day Saints Relief Society has been collecting items for Red Cross Emergency Kits since January.
Saturday afternoon they met to put those kits together and be part of a worldwide broadcast to benefit young women.
The ladies assembled basic hygiene products and emergency kits for families victimized by fire.
Members say it only takes a small act of kindness to man an enormous impact in the life of someone else.
"Such a small service can make such a difference in somebody's life, even just providing the bare necessities like wer'r doing here tonight. Just a toothbrush and toothpaste and whatever else they need," says Heidi Danley.
After the kits are assembled, they go to the Wiregrass Red Cross in Dothan to be distributed to five counties in the area.
