Ozark Police Seeking Suspect in Friday Armed Robbery

OZARK, AL - On Friday evening August 1, 2014 at approximately 7:00 p.m. the Ozark Police responded to the Shell Station located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 231 and Deese Road in regards to an armed robbery.

According to the clerk she was approached by a black male who demanded the money from the register. The clerk complied with the suspect's demands. The suspect fled on foot in the direction of South Union Avenue. The clerk was not injured during the crime.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'5" to 5'7" in height, weighing approximately 180 to 200 pounds, dark complexion, armed with a dark colored handgun. The suspect was wearing a black colored shirt. The suspect was described as having dreadlocks and gold-lined teeth.

The crime was captured on the business's video surveillance system.

Investigators working through the night have developed a suspect in the robbery and arrest warrants have been secured. Law enforcement is seeking the location of Eric Lamont Eutsey, age 33 of Midland City, Alabama. Eutsey has strong ties to the Wiregrass area as well as the Miami, Florida area. Eutsey does have an extensive criminal background involving violence. Eutsey should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information of Eric Eutsey is urged to contact your nearest law enforcement agency.

Ozark Police are being assisted in the investigation by the United States Marshal's Service and the Dale County Sheriff's Department.
