Ozark Fire Department Gets a Facelift

The Ozark Fire Department gets a technological facelift. They are switching from analog to digital signals on radios.

Under the old system, first responders, including police have encountered several problems. Officials say the new system is much stronger and can sometimes be the difference between life and death
for officers and firefighters.

The technology is run by the company Harris, and it operates under the Harris Console. Ozark Fire is the only agency in the nation with this console.

Police in Ozark also have the technology. Ozark Fire hopes the technology can expand and be in use by Dale County as a whole.
