OZARK -- A number of teachers from D.A. Smith Middle School in Ozark, as well as officers with the Ozark Police Department, got a bucket of ice water dumped on them, all in the name of charity.

In front of the student body, the teachers and officers lined up in chairs, some holding signs honoring or in remembrance of a loved one who was affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease.

A special woman being honored was 6th grade Reading Intervention Specialist Caroll Hohbach whose mother, Ms. Linda Bunting, suffers from the disease.

"To see everybody raising money for ALS, it's just really heartwarming," Hohbach said "My mom was very emotional about this day so I was proud she was able to come."

With the students' support, the school raised $1,000 for ALS research.
