Opp Police Investigate Armed Robbery

On Tuesday July 3rd at 1:28 am. Opp Police Officers responded to the
Opp Exxon Service Center,after the attendant advised he had been
robbed ans was injured.

According to investigation reports, a white male and a black male purchased fuel and left, just before the robbery took place.

Approximately six minutes after the suspects left, the white male returned on foot and forcibly robbed the attendant. During the robbery the attendant was injured, after the suspect struck him in the head with an unknown weapon.

At this time it appears the cash register and an undisclosed amount of money was taken during the robbery.

The two suspects in this case were traveling on a two tone brown/
tan Chevrolet passenger van.

The service attendant was transported to the Opp Mizell Hospital by
Opportunity EMS, where he was treated for head injuries.

The case remains under investigation by the Opp Police Department.
