TONIGHT, OPP POLICE ARE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON A PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT. CHIEF MIKE MCDONALD SAYS TWO VIOLENT, UNRELATED EPISODES WITHIN 24 HOURS HAS WARRANTED ADDITIONAL PATROLS.
ON TUESDAY NIGHT, TACOMUS JAMES WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER. THE 28-YEAR-OLD ALLEGEDLY STRUCK A 35-YEAR-OLD MAN SENDING HIM TO AN AREA EMERGENCY ROOM. JAMES IS BEING HELD ON A HALF-MILLION DOLLAR BOND. LAST NIGHT, AMOS MATTHEWS ALLEGEDLY STABBED A 48-YEAR-OLD MAN CAUSING LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.
