Earlier this month , businessman jJhn Bartholomew defeated two term Opp Mayor H.D. Edgar in a highly emotional run-off election.
Today, the mayor-elect served his final meeting as chairman of the downtown redevelopment authority.
He must resign from the board before taking office.
Bartholomew says he intends to bring jobs to Eastern Covington County.
