Opp fire department captain Jonathan Burgess is being remembered as a man with a "big heart".
Today, the flag was at half-staff outside the Opp Fire Department. On Tuesday, Captain Burgess suddenly died of apparent natural causes. The Opp native had spent short stints with the Ozark and Enterprise fire departments. Fellow firefighters say it's hard to believe J.B. is gone and he'll be missed.
From six to eight o'clock tonight, visitation is being held at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp. It's where the funeral service will take place 10 o'clock Friday morning. Burial will follow at bethel cemetery... Jonathan "J.B." Burgess was 33-years-old....
