One woman is dead following a fiery head on traffic crash on North Star Avenue.
The accident happened around 7:30 Friday morning just south of Highway 231.
31 year old Danielle M. Heller was traveling north on Star Avenue behind other northbound traffic. Heller crossed the center line and entered into path of 49 Tammy Zacherl, traveling south.
Heller's Mazda pickup collided with the front of Zacherl's Acura SUV in the southbound lane of Star Avenue.
Heller was pronounced died on the scene.
Zacherl was taken to Bay Medical Center where she is in serious condition.
Traffic on Star Ave was blocked until 10:15 while police investigated.
