On the Ballot: Florida Constitution Amendment #6

Amendment Number 6 on the Florida ballot deals with the controversial issue of abortion.

If passed, the measure would not allow the use of public money for abortion procedures with two exceptions.

Those exceptions are federal law and to save the mother's life.

It also says that the state constitution cannot grant more abortion rights than in the U.S. Constitution.

The measure is supported by numerous religious groups, as well as Senator Marco Rubio.

There is an entire political action group "Vote No on 6" opposed to the measure, which has raised nearly 2 million dollars.
