On the Ballot: Florida Constitution Amendment #8

There is no longer a seventh amendment for voters to decide on in Florida.

In 2011, it had to be re-written due to changes in the law, so it was taken off, re-worded and placed back on this year's ballot as amendment number 8.

Amendment Number 8 deals with funding for religious groups.

If enacted, it would prevent discrimination involving state money against one of any religious identity or belief.

It has a wide swath of support, all the way to Gov. Jeb Bush.

The opposition, led by the "Vote No on 8" group, claims it’s a tactic to gain votes from religious groups.
