On The Ballot: Alabama Constitution Amendment #9

Alabama Constitution Amendment #9 as it appears on a sample ballot.

The ninth of eleven amendments on the 2012 ballot in Alabama focuses on the language of the document and corporations.

Amendment Number 9 deals with the language of the original 1901 Constitution.

If passed, it would modernize the article on corporations to current standards, such as the language referring to telegraph companies.

It also updates the language referring to taxing corporations as well.

This amendment is sponsored by State Representative Paul Demarco, a republican.
