North Foster Street Improvement Project Begins Monday

DOTHAN, AL - Starting Monday, January 28, 2013, the much-anticipated construction of the North Foster Street Improvements Project between East Main Street and Adams Street will begin. There will be equipment and contractor personnel in the streets and right-of-ways throughout the project. During construction, a lane of traffic will always be provided so that citizens may continue to enjoy shopping and dining in Downtown Dothan. Some parking will be available during this time but motorists are asked to use extreme caution in this area, as there may be some temporary road closures. This project will be accomplished through five phases with the following approximate timeline: one week at the Troy/Foster intersection; six to eight weeks on the 100 block of Foster Street; six weeks on the 200 block of Foster Street; and one week at the intersection of Main/Foster - for a total of four months construction. We encourage citizens to continue to support the local businesses of Downtown Dothan during this improvement period.
