A non-profit organization is hoping to give patients dealing with cancer a sense of healing through a bag. Compassion that Compels reaches out to women battling cancer with compassion bags.
The 610 bags that have been given out thus far have about $100 worth of items in them. Including a blanket, journal and gift cards.
Founder, Kristianne Stewart, says she was compelled to start the organization after the disease hit close to home.
"610 women that are in the battles of their lives and for me having walked thru cancer with my two sister in laws and my sister in a 4 year time period and then my daughter have pre cancerous moles and having proceudures herself, I know what it's like when you feel alone"
