No Budget? No Pay for Senators

If U.S. senators don't pass a budget measure they may not get a paycheck.

Legislation to tie senator pay to a budget deal was introduced by senators from both parties.

Tennessee senator Lamar Alexander says if senators refuse to pass a budget that's required by law they shouldn't get paid.

The senate has not passed a budget in 13,065.

The house voted on a short-term extension of the nation's debt limit Wednesday.
