New Regulations Could Lead to Trucker Shortage

By  |

New federal rules could create a serious shortage of truckers.

Beginning July 1st, truck drivers cannot drive more than 70 hours in seven days. They had previously been allowed to drive 82 hours.

The trucking industry is already suffering from a high turnover rate and worker shortage.

Analysts predict reducing hours could create a need for an additional 100,000 drivers.
