Almost everywhere you look in Downtown Dothan, you will see a mural. They each tell a story of the city's history. Now, artist Wes Hardin is planning to paint another mural on a building owned by Davis Body Shop. It is located on the corner of Reeves Street and North Oates Street. Treasurer of the DDRA, Letetia Jackson, said that location is a great entry point into downtown, and the mural will highlight some of that area's community leaders.
“There are two historic churches in the immediate area in that community, and there are just some heroes and sheroes that have come out of that community that we can lift up. But, our ultimate goal is to make sure it blends in with all of the other murals in the city,” explained Jackson.
Hardin will be at the DDRA’s April meeting to discuss potential designs.
