Charter school operators looking to open campuses in Texas may soon have new help making their case to the elected officials charged with overseeing their expansion into the state.
Long-time Enterprise City Councilman William Cooper says it's a milestone in his 30-years in public office.
At his recommendation ... The council unanimously voted to appoint retired educator Dorothy Richardson ... To the city school board.
Cooper says it's the first time in many years a resident of his district will be represented on the board.
Richardson will replace James Brown whose term is expiring.
