Neighbors of Missing Teen Speak Out

(Cottonwood, AL)--Neighbors are speaking out as police continue their search for missing 16-year-old Ailene Lander. News 4 has learned that in recent weeks that Lander's family was living in a mobile home in cottonwood.

According to some neighbors the family seemed happy and normal, however others believe something different. They said Lander's step-father, 36-year-old Charles "Dean" Partin, who is a wanted suspect in this case, is short-tempered and has anger management issues.

“I’ve heard all sorts of things, to me they seemed fine, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors,” Brenda Bentis said. “I just hope they come to their senses and take care of their kids, they are important,” she said.

Police are investigating the possibility of the family being in Texas. If you have any information about this case, contact your local law enforcement.
