Penguins beat the champs...Hat trick for St. Louis

(AP) -- The red-hot Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins 2-1. Marc-Andre Fleury (marhk-ahn-dray
FLOOR'-ee) led the way with 28 saves, and Evgeni Malkin had a
power-play goal to lift the Pens to the win in Boston. Matt Cooke
had the other goal for the Penguins, who rebounded from a 1-0 loss
at Toronto on Wednesday that ended a season-high eight-game winning streak. Pittsburgh has won nine of 10.
For the Bruins, Joe Corvo scored Boston's goal, and Tim Thomas
stopped 26 shots.
In other NHL action:
-- Martin St. Louis (mar-TAN' san loo-EE') scored three times in
his 900th NHL game, Steven Stamkos added his league-leading 34th
goal and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Florida Panthers 6-3.
-- In Philadelphia the Flyers were stopped by New Jersey 6-4. The
Devils took a 4-0 lead in the game but the Flyers came roaring back
to make a game of it. Kurtis Foster scored a pair of power-play
goals for the Devils, who have won three straight. The road team
has won each of the four games between the teams.
--Tomas Vokoun made 30 saves for his third shutout of the season
and Alexander Semin (SEHM'-ihn) scored on the second of
Washington's two penalty shots in the Capitals' 3-0 win over
Montreal.
--Kevin Bieksa tied the game with 34.1 seconds remaining in
regulation and Mason Raymond scored the lone goal in the shootout
as the Vancouver Canucks rallied for a 3-2 win over the struggling
Colorado Avalanche.
-- Brad Boyes and Jason Pominville (PAHM'-in-vihl) scored
shootout goals, and the Buffalo Sabres rallied from an early 3-1
deficit to beat the New York Islanders 4-3.
-- James Reimer posted his second straight shutout, and Phil
Kessel and Tyler Bozak each had three points to lead the Toronto
Maple Leafs to a 5-0 rout of the Ottawa Senators.
-- Jeff Skinner scored 3:02 into the third period to lift the
Carolina Hurricanes to a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings.
-- Pekka Rinne (PEH'-kuh RIH'-nuh) made 41 saves, and Martin Erat
(EE'-rat) had a goal and two assists to lead the Nashville Predators to a 3-1 win over the St. Louis Blues. The Predators have won six of seven.
-- Jamie Benn scored in the second round of the shootout and the
Dallas Stars maintained their home dominance over the Minnesota
Wild with a 2-1 victory. The Stars are 11-0-4 in their last 15 home
games against the Wild.
-- Lauri Korpikoski scored two goals to lead the Phoenix Coyotes
to a 5-3 win over the San Jose Sharks.
